Stekelbos Watch and Clock

Cuckoo clocks
Cuckoo clocks have created favourite family memories for many generations. The first cuckoo clocks were made in the 1600's and these intricately carved clocks have been enjoyed ever since. Cuckoo clocks originated in the southern German area known as the Black Forest and it is still the area where these beautiful clocks are manufactured. The age old craft of carving the decorative details is still obvious in these clocks of today as well. The rich wood grains in the all wood dials, numbers and hands and the variety of figurines make these clocks an instant favourite. The weight driven mechanical mechanisms (movement) are also German made. Cuckoo clocks either come with a 8-day movement (the pine cone shaped weight is raised once a week) or a 1-day movement ( the weight needs to be raised daily).  All models have a lever on the side of the clock to shut off the hourly and half hourly cuckoo call. We have imported these beautiful clocks from the HeKas Cuckoo clock factory in Schonach, Germany. All our cuckoo clocks come with a Certificate of Authenticity seal indicating that they are genuine Black Forest Cuckoo clocks. Please browse over the in- stock styles shown below or check the manufacture's website  for many more available styles.
